Philosophy for Children
Level 1
This course will give teachers the Level 1 qualification
in Philosophy
for Children, an approach that succeeds in encouraging enquiry skills,
better speaking and listening, better reasoning, and a deep
consideration of values.
It is applicable at all levels of education and in a wide variety of
subjects and contexts.

“Things are quite complicated and P4C gives us a chance to help
each other understand.”
P4C has been developed over 30 years, and is now practised in
60 countries worldwide.
The Philosophy for Children course allows participants to explore how
they can develop pupils’ skills in questioning, active listening, reasoning
& reflection, and encourage dispositions such as open-mindedness,
courage, tenacity and reasonableness that are key to personal and
social growth.
Certificated by SAPERE
(Society for the Advancement of
Philosophical Enquiry and Reflection in Education), the course is
based on Mathew Lipman’s Community of Enquiry approach and is
suitable for all phases.
